I am a writer, editor and communications innovator living and working in the Denver metro area. Welcome to my portfolio page. Here I’ll highlight some of my work and give visitors a glance at my style as a writer.

For more than ten years, I have had the extremely good fortune to make my living by communicating complex and technological subjects to audiences of varying experience levels.

A Brief History of Me

Most of my experience has been in education and instruction. My career really took flight with a company called ActiveEducation, a dotcom, content development company. At ActiveEducation I worked as a lead editor and content writer for Microsoft Press print books and SkillSoft’s online courses.

I was a freelance writer and instructional designer for a brief period of time. I edited a few titles for SourceBeat Publications, a small, open source publishing company.  

Three years ago, I began sharpening my skills of persuasion in eCollege’s marketing team. Robert Bly claims that “copywriters are just salesmen with typewriters,” and I’ve discovered the truth of his simile.

Proposals, advertisements and datasheets helped me develop new muscles, but I’ve always preferred the solid footing required by technical writing and documentation.
